FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this investment advice?
No. Crosscurrent is for research and informational purposes only. Scores are derived from public signals and methodology assumptions. Always verify source documents before making financial decisions.
How do you decide which companies to track?
We chose an initial cohort of ten companies whose AI-related capital, compute, chip, and cloud relationships are most concentrated. The list is editable from the admin panel and will evolve.
Where does the data come from?
SEC EDGAR filings, Form 4 insider transactions, public market data, FRED for credit benchmarks, curated RSS news feeds, and admin-entered manual events. We avoid expensive enterprise feeds.
What does "circular" mean here?
When companies in a cohort are simultaneously each other’s investors, customers, and suppliers, the same capital can revolve through different revenue lines. We track that exposure as a relationship-graph property.
How often does the data update?
EDGAR and Form 4 every six hours, market data hourly, news every thirty minutes, credit and transcripts daily. Scores recompute every fifteen minutes.
Can a score be wrong?
Yes. Scores reflect what the public signals show, including noise, missing data, and misclassification. Treat alerts as prompts to look at primary sources, not conclusions.
